“Update on the Red Sea Conflict and the Current Hazards of the Suez Canal Shipping Lanes”

In recent news, Lloyd Austin, U.S. defense secretary, announced ten nation strong naval defense force in the Red Sea to protect commercial shipping (Dec. 18, 2023).  The Suez Canal revenue halved from $804 million a year previously to $428 million in response to the Houthi attacks in the Red Sea, harming national economies, especially Egypt’s which was already struggling; Bab al-Mandab- a strait that connects the Red Sea to the Indian Ocean not safely accessible for commercial or state-owned ships due to hazards in the Red Sea; and Suez Canal, shipping lane that connects the Red Sea to the Mediterranean and to Israel, Italy, and Greece and all the fishing ports of Continental Europe and Western Asia, along with all the Northwestern shore of Arabia and of course Northern Africa also at times unnavigable and— a perilous route.  Major shipping lanes have been rerouting their movement around the Cape of Good Hope.  Israel will not be too affected by decrease in shipping through the Suez Canal, as Eilat, the port that shipping goes through, accounts for less than 5% of the Promised Land’s trade, and with the great organization of people and government collectively and taken separately, the Promised Land can manage responsibly, buffer, and buoy any overall, for the people taken both individually and collectively, detrimental affect to their personal or collective well-being, as God is Israel’s Shepherd and Protector and He will take up their cause against those who stir up calamity (all who act out against Israel’s good will— which the Houthis did by attempting to blockade their nation, on the directive of Iran, both of them with the plan to try to eliminate the state of Israel, to break apart their sovereignly held rights as a nation): Elohim is Israel’s Defender and it is Him who we declare is Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, our Father and our Savior.  We, the People of the Book, the People of Israel, hold that the Lord is Most High and in these harmful events that are sources of dissonant confusion we plea ignorant and understanding due to not entering into conflicts that contain a side of aggression, and due to the knowledge that the Lord confides in us, and we trust in the Lord our God as our True Deliverer.
