President Xi Jinping of China has consolidated power in the Communist Party, making himself General Secretary of the Communist Party, along with President, which in the U.S. would be equivalent to serving as both president and your own chief of staff, and now he is whitewashing his country’s history by systemically changing their national and cultural identity via changing history books.

Average Chinese citizens are still uninformed about the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident in which Chinese police open fired on and killed throngs of peaceful protestors. The Chinese government censors records of it in the library and on the internet.
