Climate Warming Catastrophe

The sea has been rising twice as fast it does on average compared to long term trends, .12-.14 inches since 1993. The rise in sea levels is a new phenomenon, only beginning in the twentieth century, after 2,000 years of negligible change.

Wealthy Hoarders Dismiss Africa

In Africa today, 150 million of 400 million children face poverty, nearly half of them, and the wealthiest one percent of the world’s population earns enough money to pay for 97 percent of the 400 million children’s nourishment, healthcare, and education, all of the children of Africa— the children who face poverty, two times over. Of course the hoarders will be tempted to state they are rewarded wealth based on merit and what they have they deserve, but these children have no reasonable explanation for not having their basic needs met.   I'd say, is one to say that "merit explains his wealth," then one can go onto explain why the seemingly "lack of merit" attends to an explanation of the 150 million children facing poverty.  Could one extend the logic?  It is the same logic.

Why would the wealthiest deserve to keep resources, education, food supplies, and other basic necessities from them? Jesus died on the cross that the children in Africa might live too. Of course there is an unjustifiable disparity. They should not have all that money when other people are hungry.

In Ukraine, for the first time since the war with Russia began, there will be parades featuring public lightings of menorahs, which is under normal circumstances an annual tradition. Also, during these festivities, Jews will be engaged in solidarity prayers for the Jews in Israel, naturally, for in the Promised Land, the People of the Book are currently facing affliction.
