According to Time: Reeducation Camps in the People's Republic of China
These "Reeducation Camps" are in part of this Northwestern territory of the People's Republic of China, the Xinjiang province, predominately: significantly, the only one territory of the People's Republic of China, that is designated for faith individuals of the Muslim religion, according to the Truth of the Holy Book. All those individuals within such closed-off areas, that are cut-off as well, have been under tough sufferings on account of the China government's abuse and attacks on their human rights protections.
The nominally called "Reeducation Camps" are utilized to hold, predominately, Uruguay peoples-- a mostly Islam ethnic group in this autonomous region of Northwestern China-- in imprisonment. Notably, the China authorities aim to whitewash them of their cultural identity, with forced coercion and duress in regard to freedom of thought. More than a million have been subjected to such imprisonment camps.
China has mounted its false justification for these human rights abuses as defending their country against "terrorism," though, in fact, there is no connection between the people the human rights violations are aimed at and the idea of terrorism.
Also there is abuse against much of the ethic Uruguay population in regards to torturing the population, separating families, forced sterilizations, and more malicious human rights violations, on behalf of the China government. There has not been any rendering of justice by the China government. They have not engaged in investigation or prosecution of perpetrators.
It is important for citizens of the world to empathize with and support the people in the Xinjiang province who are victims, for world powers to denounce China's uses of oppression, and for human rights oversight organizations and other human rights defenders to come to the side in supporting this population that is systemically violated and confined in internment camps. There is no reason these human rights violations can go on.
It is central that China puts an end to persecuting and assaulting individuals in the Xinjiang province. The world is meant to be free.
